Why is it so difficult to keep a black women happy? And by who’s definition do we or should we define a good man by?

Thank you for your comment 🙂 I wouldn’t put race on why it’s so difficult to keep a woman happy. There is absolutely a difference in culture but I believe that with any race you have women who have been hurt tremendously. They have not done all they can to heal from it and the baggage is way too heavy for the next man that comes along. Then you have women who are just mean, nasty, selfish and don’t appreciate anything. Its never enough for them. Both men and women should be more selective and stop ignoring the red flags….they really are thrown all around you from the very beginning. We see what we want to see. In regards to what or who defines what a good man is. It depends on what she defines as a good man and whether or not you are a match for her expectations. Personally….a good man is Godly, slow to anger, patient, my best friend, protects me, does whatever it takes to provide for our family, not hanging out in the streets, and does not do anything that disrepects me or our relationship. He last but not least….puts his family right next to GOD.

    I agree also Tonda.

The wounding didn’t just stop at the doorsteps of women. There are men out there who are wounded too. Some who are unwilling to commit and give their all because of the hurting the last woman put on them. Afraid if they give to much of themselves the same thing will happen again. We all need to take a break in between relationships, rethink and reevaluate the lesson that should be learned. The warning signs we pretended not to see the first time will hopefully be more obvious the next time.

Elena, this is a subject all in itself! I totally agree. We have damaged some of our men. I only wished that with some, they would be honest with themselves. Seek professional help when they know they are not ready to commit to someone due to their pain, instead of dragging a good woman through emotional mud because now, they are creating vicious cycles of hurting people.
